Paul Harris Fellow Recognition

The Paul Harris Fellowship is named for Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary in Chicago in1905. The fellowship was established in his honor to express appreciation for a contribution of $1000 to the humanitarian and educational programs of The Rotary Foundation. Any Rotarian who contributes $1000, or a multiple of $1000, is designated as a Paul Harris Fellow and appropriately recognized by the club. Through its history, the Birmingham Sunrise Rotary Club has recognized over& 80 individuals as Paul Harris Fellows.

The Birmingham Sunrise Rotary Club also provides a Paul Harris Fellow matching funds program. Under this program, the club will match any contribution, up to $500, that an individual club member wishes to make to The Rotary Foundation for the purpose of obtaining Paul Harris Fellow status. Members wishing to participate in the matching funds program can do so by contacting the club president, the club director of the Rotary Foundation, or the acting club secretary.
